The General Chapter of 2004 at Torre d'Aguilha saw as its main objective, to reactivate, revitalize the gift that the Congregation had originally received from God, the charism. The first and most important document produced by that chapter is about our spiritual renewal. The task is beyond the scope of any one document. The spiritual renewal of the members of the Congregation is happening on many fronts. The present ID simply wants to help a little to move the work of our spiritual renewal forward.

Center for Spiritan Studies

The rich legacy of the Spiritan tradition lies at the very heart of Duquesne University and forms its guiding principles and practical ethos. The Center for Spiritan Studies, inaugurated in September 2005, is a new collaboration between the Congregation of the Holy Spirit and Duquesne University that promotes research into Spiritan history, tradition and spirituality.

The purpose of the Center is to foster creative fidelity to the Spiritan charism in the contemporary world, through a partnership between professed Spiritans, Spiritan Lay Associates and their collaborators.

Spiritan Rule of Life - 3RD EDITION

Dear Confreres, Here is the Spiritan Rule of Life which the Congregation, in the Church, hands to each of us. By the Holy Spirit's grace it can become for each one who lives it, in spirit and in truth, a road to apostolic holiness.

The Church, by beatifying Jacques Laval and Daniel Brottier, recognises that the way Claude Poullart des Places and Francis Libermann pioneered and which generations of Spiritans have travelled, is a right road. Read more »
